Affordable Energy is a scheme run by Climate Energy Ltd. who are an award winning energy consultant delivering home energy efficiency and carbon reduction programmes for many local authorities. The Affordable Energy scheme was started in 2002 to deliver loft and cavity wall insulation and we are now adding the whole range of insulation, heating, and energy generation solutions.

What isn’t changing are the fundamental principles that help us deliver the service you want:

•	Competitive pricing and we reduce the price further where we can with grant funding money from the energy companies, local authority grants, government grants or other schemes.

•	Installation by a UK-wide network of local installers.
•	Our installers are small or medium size businesses with a local reputation to maintain so they give a high level of customer care and satisfaction, they are not big national chains.

How do we make this happen? Well, we manage installers day in, day out for local authorities to exacting standards.

We’re just as careful who we work with on our Affordable Energy scheme so you don’t need to worry about who you are letting into your home.

•	Installer certification we check installers financial standing, insurances, health & safety, trade memberships & accreditations, interview them and set up a contractual relationship. For full details please download our Certification factsheet.
•	Job progress we check your job is progressed by the installer according to the service level we advertise.
•	We inspect the installer’s work and health & safety systems and keep close to them to ensure they continue to deserve our certification.
•	Your feedback is reviewed independently by us to ensure you get what you expect – if the installer doesn’t deliver the goods we will investigate.
